What to Expect at Your Visit
Getting started with clear aligners is more straightforward than most people expect. Here’s how it works from start to finish:
Your Consultation: We’ll examine your teeth, take X-rays, photographs, and digital impressions, then map out a custom treatment plan. You’ll see a 3D preview of your projected results before a single aligner is made.
Your Custom Aligners: A full set of clear, custom-fit aligners is created specifically for your smile. You’ll receive several sets at a time and switch to a new tray approximately every two weeks as your teeth gradually shift into place.
Day-to-Day Life: Wear your aligners for about 22 hours a day; they come out for meals, brushing, and flossing. Most patients find them comfortable and barely noticeable within the first few days.
Periodic Check-Ins: We’ll schedule occasional visits to confirm everything is progressing on track, much less frequent than traditional braces; no monthly appointments required.
Your New Smile: Most treatments are completed in 12-18 months. Once you’re finished, we’ll fit you for a retainer to keep your results in place.

The Invisalign® Plan
Based on treatment plan, custom-made clear aligners are created specifically for you and slide right over your teeth. You will need to wear these aligners all day and only remove them to eat or brush and floss your teeth.
These comfortable aligners will be changed approximately every two weeks, gradually making the changes you desire in each stage. The total number of stages will depend on the changes necessary.
